Wayfinder - (Interactive Mapping)
The WayFinder is an interactive tool designed to help attendees better navigate the meeting and, coupled with advertising and promotion, allows you to connect directly with attendees. The tool possesses a robust search engine and is compatible with smart phone and tablet (iPad) technologies. There are three components of the product: online, onsite and mobile. Attendees will be able to search sessions by day, room number or track; search posters by topic, presenter or poster board number; search faculty by name, session or presentation; search by highlighted programs and special events; and search for restrooms, food outlets, shuttle information, hotels and restaurants. Likewise, attendees will be able to search exhibitors by name, category or booth number. Once onsite the kiosks will help answer questions, promote activities and sponsors, and provide on-the-go directory assistance. The tool is constructed with robust and detailed diagrams of the Boston Convention Exhibition Center, which will offer clear “wayfinding” instructions. There will be four kiosks (intuitive interaction on large format touch screens) located throughout the convention center featuring 3D facility maps, information on and “walking path” to all exhibitors and sessions, as well as information on local attractions and restaurants.
